A new phenomenon has come to England’s capital city- the supper club. It’s a dining out experience with a difference; instead of visiting a restaurant, you can find yourself in a stranger’s home, as they rustle up some wonderful authentic cuisine for you and your chums. Seeing as the craze has been going for a little while now, and that autumn is a beautiful time to keep cosy inside, we thought we’d try out one of our local branches- Supper Club London, based in Balham, in the south west of the city. Not only were we treated to a delicious three course feast, with soup, meat, rounded off with a delicious wintery crumble (not forgetting the coffee and chocolates), but the weather that evening allowed for our host to release a display of our very own wish lanterns at the end of the night, leaving his guests with a feeling of calm, serenity, and as though he’d gone that extra mile to make the evening memorable.
