Wish lanterns instead of fireworks displays
Wish Lanterns were launched in the UK in 2007 and since then they have become incredibly successful. In 2009 we launched Wish Lanterns in the USA through our website wishlantern.com.
A traditional fireworks display is a mainstay of events like Bonfire Night but they have for a long time been a spectator event only. With UK safety regulations spectators have to stand up to 20 metres away and the event is something people watch rather than participate in.
In contrast Wish Lantern events allow everyone to join in with lighting the lanterns and enjoying the show when they are set off into the night sky. In Thailand and China at the largest annual events such as Loi Krathong in Thailand, Wish Lanterns are set off en masse in the thousands
