Last week we gave you tips on how to build your own wish lanterns. This week we are going to finish the make-it-yourself lesson. All you need to do to finish your project is the lantern burner. You will need to buy some industrial paper towels and impregnate them with wax. Here is how you do that. Buy some canning wax from your local grocery store. This wax is very flammable, so be very careful when melting it and do it only in a double boiler. Then, dip the paper towels in the melted wax and wait until they are fully saturated. Find a piece of coarse paper and cut it into rectangles. Cut the waxed paper into the same size rectangles and stack up five pieces of paper with 5 pieces of waxed towels between each sheet of paper. Punch four holes into the stack of paper and towels, so they make a cross. Then, put two pieces of wire into the holes and leave the ends longer. Take the ends of the wire and twist them, so that you will secure the burner into the bamboo hoop you have already made. You are at the end of your project. Take the bamboo hoop and glue it to the bottom of the paper of the lantern. Wait for the glue to dry out. You are ready to light your lantern.
