Wish Lantern has been supporting the Make-A-Wish foundation since March 2009 with one percent of all sales being donated to the charity each month. For 2010 we have decided to continue that support as we know what a difference a wish can make to a child living with a life-threatening illness. We have also donated many wish lanterns (also known as Chinese Lanterns) to a number of other charity groups and schools in order to bring a smile to the faces of young people.
Make-A-Wish grants magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening illnesses. Make-A-Wish was founded in the UK in June 1986 and, since then, has granted over 5,900 wishes. At any given time, over 20,000 children in the UK are living with life-threatening conditions and its aim is to ensure that every one of these children can enjoy one of their magical wishes.
Wish Lantern is proud to be associated with this fantastic charity and will continue to support it throughout the year.
