A very special Wish Lantern event took place is Zililna in Slovakia for charity raising money for a Slovakian childrens hospital. A thousand lanterns were set off in an event aiming to break the European record for the most Wish Lanterns set off in one place. Participants paid a discretionary amount from one Euro up per wish lantern lantern and took their lanterns into the central square of the city. They were all set off around the same time to spectacular results.
And also at a separate event in South Africa – The IPL Cricket Final – a new style of Wish Lantern that we are looking at bringing over to the UK was previewed.
